What We Do

Our Story

Hope For The Needy & Evangelical Foundation Inc. (HFTNEF) is a Non –Profit Organization majorly incorporated or born to meet the needs of the less privileged in our communities and the world at large. It is  also for evangelism.

HFTNEF promotes education as well via scholarship awards to the deserved and qualified persons 

Vision

Poverty extinction in our communities and the world at large, and multitude won for christ 

Our Mission

Is to assist the less privileged in the society, let people know about the love of God through Jesus christ and also have the intention  to advance education via scholarship award. 

Statistics

The population of the world is estimated at 7 billion people. Out of this, 1.89 billion that is about 36% are in extreme poverty, I/2 this number are especially from developing countries who live on less than $1.25/day. That is a long way to go in terms of terminating poverty globally, but together we can affect a huge change globally. 

Also, about 2 billion has been estimated out of a global population of about 7 billion to be Christians leaving 5 billion souls unreached yet. This is a Huge task that can only be accomplished by His grace.

GROWING UP
Dr. chidi is the second daughter of her parent Late Mr. Wilson Okafor and his
only wife Mrs. Mercy Okafor. She gave her life to christ many times as a young
girl. she was meant to understand that you only do it once at some point. She
got born again many years ago and has been in the lord till date by His grace.

Christian Nweke-Emeka is the second son of seven children born by Late Mr.
and Mrs. Emeka Nweke his parent. He migrated to USA over 20 years ago

his life to Christ many years ago and has been a Christian till date by His grace.

 This is the story behind the inauguration of HOPE FOR THE NEEDY AND EVANGELICAL FOUNDATION INC.

We were very comfortable and kind of enjoying life until the death of my dad. My dad died when 1 was a little girl. My siblings and I including my mum were hit by abject  penury, lack and want because my dad was the major breadwinner of our family. This continued until God in His infinite mercies intervened through our family members who  assisted us in various ways as much as they could until I was able to get through college  and eventually migrated to this country,  courtesy of a U S lottery visa. Here in the United States I was very much assisted with my education via financial aid/assistance and various scholarships which helped me get through medical school. 
So this is a way of me trying to give back to the society that helped me  when I needed help most. Why wouldn’t I assist others in need the little I can. My siblings  and I tasted poverty at the time. Poverty doesn’t taste good at all. I can tell you that for free.
Secondly, it is a calling. This venture to help people especially the poor, the hungry and the less privileged is  a service unto God and humanity. God is very mindful of the poor , the hungry and the unsaved. This is where I was with my siblings when God heard our cries and came to our rescue . Why wouldn’t I help others the little I can now that God has helped me.
